Plant-based cooking shows and tips for your new Instant Pot

I hope you have received your new Instant Pot, many people took advantage of the smoking deal on the Instant Pot (IP) the other day.  Today many of you have or will receive your new Instant Pot, I received my 2nd one.  I look forward to having both on hand for those days when one is just not enough.

I wanted to share some resources to help you enjoy your IP as soon as possible.  Below are some links and videos I found helpful while learning how to use my IP to its full potential:

Instant Pot

Please let me know if you have any questions, I’m no expert, but I have been using my IP for over a year.  I use it several days a week.

MY FAVORITE PLANT BASED STAPLES IN THE INSTANT POT

Brown Rice

  • There is a Perfect Brown Rice recipe in your Instant Pot recipe book page 10
  • 2 cups brown rice (I prefer Jasmine)
  • 2.5 cups water
  • Close the lid
  • Turn the valve to “sealing”
  • Press the Manual button
  • Cook 22 minutes
  • When time is up release the pressure after 10 minutes

Black Beans

  • 2 CUPS Dry black beans
  • Cover the beans with water (I like to add and extra inch more over the top of the beans)
  • Close the lid
  • Turn the valve to “sealing”
  • Press the Manual button
  • Cook 20-25 minutes
  • Use natural release (let the pressure release naturally until the IP unlocks itself)
